One cease and desist letter from an attorney should be enough to get them to leave you alone. Just one letter. It need not become any more of a 'legal matter' than that. It may be worth it, in the long run, to keep from being DFed and shunned.

I've had enough..
by raven inso last night, after thinking "wow those pesky elders have finally left me alone, maybe since i skipped out on their jc invitation back on august 1st they've given up" wrong.. i go to check the mail and there's an envelope at my front door- lo and behold, another letter from from these elders.. why won't they leave me alone already?
i'll attach a picture of the letter.. again, same letter as the first one inviting me to a judicial committee on august 15th - and signed by all three elders.. should i just continue to ignore?
quite frankly i don't give a rats arse i've been enjoying life free from the mind control of the organization, and i just wish they would drop it and let me live life.. like i mentioned before, i am moving to a new home next week, the only reason these elders have my current address ( which happens to be over 100 miles away from the cong ) is because my mother gave it to them, after i gave it to her in confidence to forward me my mail.. so lets just say she won't be getting my new address... i don't have any contact with ones from this congregation (i'm an ex pioneer, so i'm sure if they've gotten word on what i'm doing, i must be satan himself!

New EXJW stories
by Diogenesister inhi everyone, a really nice regular contributor to our ex jw reddit community has begun a website to support those leaving or thinking of leaving jw.org called https://leavingjw.org it's main content is exit stories ( which we all love!
it's a worthy cause so if you feel so inclined do contribute your stories - you can still be physically " in" - and there is also a questionnaire style story if you don't have time/feel inclined to write the whole thing out.. like simon these guys set up exjw websites in their own time and using their own money for our communities benefit.
we recently lost one recovery website so do let's support this new one.

Thanks for the heads up. There's also http://ex-jws.boards.net. Many of us from JWR are over there now. It's welcoming, inclusive and supportive.

by Quarterback induring the last decade i've seen so many articles, and top speakers try to downplay that nfb policy.

I have to vent about someone...
by babygirl30 ini'm sorry if this comes across as rude or mean, but i'm sorry - not sorry!
there is a woman that was in my congregation for years.
she was dating a 'worldly' man at the time and ended up df'd.

She is clearly a very confused young woman. Please remember that her issues are her own.

As a Matter of Conscience, I Am Resigning from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Sail Away inafter listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.
as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.
i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

Attempts to derail this thread did not succeed. Sail Away, I cannot adequately describe how proud I am of you. Your letter is excellent and I hope you will give permission for others to use it. There should be a form letter for those who want to leave without submitting to the JW BS...I wish I had known this was possible many years ago. Thank you so much for your courage and sharing. Btw, I will be celebrating my 58th birthday this year as well.
